A mobile museum occupying the ruins of Detroit

 

Detroit, once known as the Motor City, is now famous for its severe poverty and high crime rates. But scattered throughout the struggling city are the majestic reminders of better days in the automotive industry; architectural monuments recalling times of indulgence, glamour, youth, excitement, and class.

 

Re/De_Generation is a traveling museum

that temporarily inhabits historic buildings

in Detroit. It was created to tell the stories between the  walls, before the city demolishes its history. Proceeds help preserve these cherished landmarks.
